What the Bookstore Goblins are Reading
Tubby & Coo's Staff Picks
Candice's Pick: Nine Goblins by T. Kingfisher
T. Kingfisher is one of my favorite authors, and this novella is along the lines of Nettle & Bone, but much sillier. It’s so funny and quirky, in true T. Kingfisher fashion, and it grabbed me from the first sentence. And, as an FYI, although it’s “low” fantasy, it is definitely NOT “cozy” fantasy. It releases January 20, and I’m having a lot of fun with it!
Imani's Pick: Faebound by Saara El-Arifi
This is for fans of worldbuilding, diverse and queer fantasy, and magic. Faebound is like an oasis in the desert. It’s a wonderfully crafted adventure from start to finish. And don’t forget the other books in the series!
Shannon's Pick: The Entanglement of Rival Wizards by Sara Raasch
This is the perfect magic school romance for grown-up wannabe wizards who have complex relationships with their parents.
