This year, ELEVEN independent bookstores around New Orleans have teamed up for our annual city-wide literary crawl, including Baldwin & Co., Blue Cypress Books, Community Book Center, Crescent City Books, Faulkner House Books, Frenchman Art & Books, Garden District Bookshop, Nomad Used Bookstore, Octavia Books, Parlour Books, and Tubby & Coo’s at The Good Shop.

The New Orleans Passport Challenge will take place April 25 - May 3. One lucky reader will win a $25 gift card from each of the participating stores, and every person who visits all stores on the passport will receive our custom Indie Bookstore Day 2026 tote bag. Pick up your passport starting on Independent Bookstore Day at any of the participating bookstores, get it stamped at each stop along the way, and turn it in at your last stop. You have until May 3 to visit all eleven stores!
